Transcription: In the 8th century, Muslim Moors conquered Spain. The Reconquista, or Reconquest, was the Christian-Spanish struggle to oust the Muslim invaders and return Spain to Christian sovereignty. Christians fought Muslims for 700 years before the Moors were finally defeated.
